An Accident?
In 1905, a boy named Frank Epperson, was drinking juice with a stirring stick in the juice, on his porch outside. By accident he went inside and left the juice out overnight.
Frozen
In the morning, when he went back outside the next day, his juice was completely frozen. He called this new creation the “Eppsicle.“

Selling
In 1923 almost 20 years later, his kids changed the name to “popsicle” and a year later, they started selling the popsicle.
Where it Was Sold
It was sold in Neptune beach in Alameda California, later it expanded to other locations. The Joe Lowe Company later bought the rights to the popsicle.
Popular
Later it popularized and became famous.

Pros and Cons
Pros of modern: Icy, refreshing, fresh
Pros of old: refreshing, juicy, cools you down
Cons of modern: unhealthy, hard, brain freeze
Cons of old: watery, slushy
Which is Better?
I tasted both new and old popsicles, and I like the old version better, because it tastes better, and has a better texture.
